What counts as a "smart-charging session"?

Anytime Sundial has to wake your Tesla to start, adjust, or stop a charge. A typical plug‑in → charge → unplug counts as one. If you're plugged in but Sundial doesn't need to touch the car, it doesn't burn a session.

What happens when I hit the 10-session cap?

Your dashboard keeps working — you'll still see real-time energy flow, history, and savings. Your car just charges however Tesla's default behaviour says, the same way it did before Sundial. The counter resets on the 1st of every month.

Is 10 sessions enough to see real savings?

Yes — that's the whole point. 10 sessions covers roughly 2–3 plug-ins a week. A typical NEM 3.0 customer in PG&E or SCE territory sees $15–$60 of monthly savings on those sessions alone. The cap exists to keep our infrastructure costs predictable while you decide whether to upgrade — not to make the free plan unusable.

How do I cancel?

Open Settings → Subscription → Cancel. No phone calls, no retention scripts, no hidden fees. You keep Pro until the end of your current billing period and then drop back to the free plan automatically.

Does upgrading mid-month restore sessions I already used?

Yes. The moment you upgrade, the cap is gone — Sundial will manage every plug-in for the rest of the month and every month after, until you cancel.

Is my data safe?

We use Tesla's official Fleet API with OAuth — same security model as the Tesla app. We never store your Tesla password (we never see it). You can revoke access anytime from your Tesla account.
