Four steps, no new hardware

  1. Choose SolarEdge
    In Solar setup, choose SolarEdge and sign in with your SolarEdge monitoring email and password.
  2. Confirm your site
    SundialEV finds the site and offers grid and battery readings when your system reports them.
  3. Connect your car or charger
    A Tesla directly, or any EV through a Wallbox Pulsar Plus or Emporia charger.
  4. Plug in
    Charging follows live production.

What SolarEdge gives SundialEV, and its limits

Provides

  • Live solar production
  • Grid import/export (sites with a SolarEdge meter)
  • Battery power and charge level (sites with storage)

Known limits

  • Many SolarEdge sites have no grid meter. Without one, SundialEV estimates surplus from production minus your baseline household use — or add an Emporia Vue or Sense monitor for a real grid reading.
  • Daytime gaps in SolarEdge's data are treated as missing data, not zero production.

Yes. Without a grid meter SundialEV estimates surplus from production and your baseline use. For precise tracking, add a home energy monitor such as an Emporia Vue.
Do I need a SolarEdge EV charger?
No. SundialEV controls a Tesla directly, or any EV through a Wallbox Pulsar Plus or Emporia charger.
What login does it use?
Your SolarEdge monitoring portal email and password.
